Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #55

This is my take on the sketch design from Inkspirations called "Just a Little Note". I used a color combination of White, Chocolate Chip, and a touch of More Mustard to give it a little pizzazz!
My card is SU's Whisper White CS with a pattern paper from PTI which I cut into squares using SU Square punch. Layered the squares onto Chocolate Chip CS, added a scallop circle and insert also from PTI (called Limitless Layers). The bird cage stamp is from SU's "Happy Moments" the sentiment is from SU's Apple Blossoms stamp set. Hope you like this.

VALENTINE CARDS

This first card I made using MDS paper (from my daughter) love the subtle colors of Gray and Real Red. I wanted to keep the design simple to shown off the lovely DSP which was placed on a Basic Gray CS embossed using Sizzix dotted swiss EF. A large glittery red heart (cut on my Cricut using SU's Glimmer Paper), some gray twill ribbon and a sentiment at the bottom make it complete. Not too fussy to be sent to a man, don't you think?





This second card is made using SU's Chocolate Chip CS and a DSP (that I can't remember the name of, sorry). Once again I think the paper makes the statement and not much else is needed.
The background shape , Mat Stack #3, behind the sentiment is from PTI, as is the frame, Fillable Frames #11, with the sentiment from the same . A touch of Chocolate Chip ribbon adorned with an adorable crochet flower from SU, finishes it off.

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME!

I love this little card I made for a friend who just moved into her brand-new home. Although this DSP doesn't truly reflect her new neighborhood I thought it was perfect. I love the little houses and the clouds, they seem so happy.
I started with Crumb Cake CS, embossed (using my daughter's (Canopy Crafts) Impression Plate cause I wasn't savy enough to order one, but now have). Matted a bit of "Good Neighbor" designer paper (also from my daughter's stash) onto a larger frame of Baja Breeze CS, wrapped a bit of Rose Red Seam ribbon tied a knot and attached to the Crumb Cake CS. It seems I was too quick to take a photo because the card is missing it's sentiment which was added later! Anyhow a quick and adorable Welcome to the Neighborhood card. Hope you like it too. Paper players #31 AND Paper Pals Art #77 AND Papertrey Ink's January, 2011 Blog Hop

My card is for three challenges this week.

The first challenge is based on Paper Players #31
sketch designed by Ann Schach.
I believe it fits the criteria with a slight deviation from the original. The sketch provided great inspiration!


The second challenge is for Pals Paper Arts #77 sketch challenge designed by Margaret Moody.
Mine is a very loose interpretation of her design. I believe the 5 elements are there just a smidge different, but it was what I needed to get me scrappin'!
Win or lose it was fun making this card, don't ya just love the little snail!

The third is for Papertrey Ink's January 2011, Blog Hop to use an "oldie but goodie" stamp set. This set is one that I have had for a while and only used once previously.

This is a little Thank You card to my daughter and her family for all of my wonderful Christmas gifts. Unfortunately the colors do not photograph well, but you know it looks better in person.

This birthday card is for a dear friend of ours who loves to golf.
