Glitzy gold (& late) birthday card!

I'm so excited to share this card to you showing how CAS it is but still turned out (I think) elegant looking.

I covered the front of my card with Stamping Up's gorgeous gold/white stripe paper from the designer series "Winter Wonderland Specialty", it doesn't have to be used for winter! The birthday sentiment stamp from Papertrey Ink was embossed in gold onto a large die cut circle with fancy edging.  I added a swirly/star die cut (can't remember the name of it) from gold paper as well as some stars to balance out the bottom of the card.  It's really a simple card, but the circle sentiment says it all. I don't think the photo does it justice, it really is quite pretty.

Here's a peek at the inside, continuing the theme of stars.

As you can see it is a belated birthday card, but I'm sure she'll still love all the gold and glitz!

Thanks for looking and leaving a comment if you have time.
Hugs,
Nancy

SYMPATHY CARDS

Sad to say I needed three sympathy cards this week,so I whipped out one of my newer PTI sets "TulipTime" and went to work keeping the design very simple.

I love the way these tulip stamps can be any color with coordinating accent pieces to highlight the petals.  There are actually more highlighting pieces that I didn't even use.  I had so much fun with the flowers I made a sheet of them trying all different color options, so pretty.

I added a little bit of "Wink of Stella" to highlight the darker color.  Maybe you can see it here in this close up picture. Love that stuff.

That's it for now, I appreciate hearing from you and read all your comments.

SPRING BIRTHDAY CARD

Just look at these tulips, aren't they lovely, sure to bring a smile and thoughts of Spring to anyone.  The stamp set can be a one, two, or three step process, I chose a two step with two colors.  After finishing my card I realized I could have also two step stamped the stems, oh well next time!

The stamps, die and pre-printed paper are all from Papertrey Ink.

Hope it leaves you with thoughts of Spring.

Stitched purse and barrette

Wanted to share a little project I made a while ago for my adorable granddaughter!
I'm not a needle point, embroidery person so don't look too closely at the hand stitching, I've since learned that I didn't complete the running stitch, so perhaps it'll look better next time (I hope).  Anyhow she was thrilled with it as is.

Both dies are from Papertrey Ink and the purse die cuts the stitching holes so it's quite easy to do.  I used wool felt also from Papertrey Ink.  Used gray color for the outside and lined it with the turquoise which also matches the barrette.

That's it for now, hope you have a fabulous day!
