BIRTHDAY CARD

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR DAUGHTER

Here's a quick and easy birthday card for my daughter, Nance of Canopy Crafts.  She's so creative and artistic I hesitate to make a card for her as mine never seem (to me) to measure up, although she's always very quick to say they're beautiful.
Anyhow here it is, I used Bermuda Bay CS and heat embossed with white EP the sentiment and the floral.  I also lined the envelope with Bohemian DSP.

The floral stamp is a retired one, but still so pretty (Garden Silhouettes) from Stampin' Up.

That's it for today, thanks for looking.

BIRTHDAY WISHES!

Talk about a fast and easy card, check this out.  The balloons are printed on paper you can either color them as I did or leave them as is, which would be black outlines.
The paper is new from Maile Belles it is her own design, a small pad of black and white paper size 5 1/2" X 4 1/4' perfect for the front of a card.

I used one of my label dies and cut out a section where I could stamp in my sentiment then outlined the opening with a black pen to mimic the balloon strings

Well that's it, told you it was fast and easy, can't wait to try out some of the other patterned paper in the collection.

Thanks for stopping by today and would love to hear from you.

MINIATURE SWEET SHOPPE

I couldn't resist trying my hand at this cute miniature "Sweet Shoppe"  from Betsy Feldman of PTI.  It's the top to a  small wide-mouth Mason jar which was filled with faux Easter grass.

I cut a large circle from heavy CS to use as my base then die cut the adorable sweet shoppe, bicycle, trees and shoppe sign, oh my they are so tiny to work with especially when my fingers don't want to cooperate and work the way they should.

I die cut all the awnings, store sign, bike and trees onto white CS and then stamped in the various colors.  Gosh I just can't decide which I like best, but I think that itsy bike is pretty darn cute.

After assembling all the small pieces and adhering them, I put some glue onto the circle base and sprinkled some Mica Flitter to resemble grass then dusted with some glitter.  Finalized it all with a thin line of glue to attach the top clear globe.  I finished off the mouth of the jar with a "X O" border and added a cute little tag.

I made this for my granddaughter and she really liked it, of course what little girl doesn't like all those cute itsy pieces!

Here's another picture, it was very difficult to get a shot without the glare from either the lights or the sun outside.  I thought I had taken a photo prior to putting the top globe on, but can't find it, I think it went to never-never land!

Hope you have a great day and thanks for spending some time with me on my blog.

Suppies:
All dies, clear ornament balls, and stamps from PTI Petite Places Sweet Shoppe
All inks from Stampin' Up
Mason Jar from Target

Nothin' like chicken soup to make you feel better!

This is a CASE card I found back in 2012 and just revisited it again.  It is from Debbie Olson Designs, she did such a great job it wasn't necessary to change much.
Here are my two versions of almost the same card just a couple of minor changes.  I think this stamp set is so adorable and perfect to bring a smile to the recipients face when they receive it.

I love it when stamped images also include matching dies which allowed me to add the soup bowl.  I cut a slit in the top of the bowl to add the spoon which can be pulled out.  Don't know if it's very visible in the picture, but I love the little sprays of steam comin' from that hot cup-o-soup!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope to hear from you.

It's that time of the year again with lots of graduations, here is a card I came up with.  The recipient attended Michigan State University in Lansing, MI., so the colors had to be green and white of course (although I did sneak some gold foil in there with the word, congrats).

You may be able to see the dark green (school color) is embossed with the tiny all over stars  I also used a die that divides the front of the panel and curved the year and sentiment stamp (a nice feature of the photopolymer stamps)

I added a small envelope on the inside to hold a check along with some gold foiled stars to continue the look inside.

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog and hope you'll leave a comment
Thanks,
Nancy

MASCULINE CARD

I love this stamp set with the tiny little sandpipers (I think that's what they are)
although I used it for a masculine birthday card it certainly can be used for any other type.

I used 3 different shades of blue for the water, sky and horizon line using daubers.
Stamped the sandpipers, and sentiment ( when stamping the grasses I didn't want the to continue to the bottom of the card so I just masked off that area before stamping the grass.

Hope you enjoyed peeking at my blog, would love to read any comments you may have.
Thanks for looking,

Nancy

On a roll!

Okay, my friend Diane Oliver of Rubber 'n Rafters said I haven't been posting lately, so here's another card. However, when I looked at her blog she hasn't posted since April 29 (ha, caught ya)!

It is the Mother's Day card I made for my daughter.  The inspiration came from a card I saw on Pinterest where they had used a cover plate for a chevron pattern.
Well I thought I too had that cover plate, but when I went to find it of course I didn't have it, so I improvised and made the following using a chevron die.

It looks a little top-heavy, but it's the angle the card was on.  I had forgotten to take a picture of it and as I was leaving my daughters I spotted it on the table and decided to take a quick pix.
The chevron strips are in Night of Navy and the flowers are a two-step stamping using Rose Red and Real Red.

Hope your Mother's Day was happy, I know mine was.

Feel free to leave a comment, I love to hear from everyone.
Cheers,
Nancy

SYMPATHY CARD

Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card for a long-time friend.  I didn't want anything too fussy or busy, but wanted something rather elegant looking, I think my card filled the bill, what do you think?

The paper is a subtle shimmer texture so it doesn't photograph well.  It was a fairly quick card to make, just making decisions is my downfall, it's what takes so much time!!!!
Finally decided on black CS for the frame and a little red bird for some color accent. Forgot to take a pictures of the inside, sorry.

Here is a side view that captures some of the sheen. It's really very pretty in real life.

Always nice to hear from other bloggers, hope to hear from you.
