GRADUATION & GOOD LUCK

This is a combination card, a nephew's step-son has graduated from High School and will be entering the Marines!  He will be traveling to CA for his basic training, so I thought the world embossing folder was a good back drop for the card.

Pretty simple...stamped and fussy-cut the diploma (can't believe I don't have a die for that, maybe I do somewhere?) stamped the sentiment, which was a combination of 3 different stamps, popped up the diploma and I was done.  Why did it take me so long though to accomplish this simple card!

Here's a close up of the embossing.

And here's a peek at the inside, the sentiment is from Stampin' Up and the Marine emblem I cut from the party invitation.  It wasn't a complete circle so I had to cut it close and die cut a black cs circle and mount it onto that.  Also added a little pocket for the gift money.

Thanks for looking,
Nancy

Nancy this is a fantastic card and I love the embossed background. Especially after you explained the meaning of the young man going into service abroad. So cool. I also love the little pockets inside to hold the gift $$ but the Marine insignia inside was the icing on the cake. FANTASTIC....sister! Hugs.
