HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCE

Another big event in the month of May for our family, it's my daughter, Nance of Canopy Crafts, birthday.  Yahoo, like fine wine...better with age!

I decided to make a CAS card for her since that is the style she prefers.   I used white card stock framed in one of her favorite colors, Pool Party.  The tree images are first stamped using Espresso ink with each  of the tree top circles in more of her "fav" colors.  I then stamped the center tree circle again, spritzed it with Shimmer Mist and popped it up. Isn't the little bird in the tree top adorable?  My inspiration for this card is from  Maile Belles of Simply Stamped.

Here's a peek at the inside, I first stamped a tree image and then stamped the sentiment verse on top of it, love the way it ties to the images on the front of the card.
I picked up this tip from my daughter.

I wouldn't usually publish a picture of the gift, but I was so smitten with myself for the way it turned out, had to share with ya.  The box and ribbon came from the store where the gift was purchased and I thought the ribbon needed something so... I decided to stamp on the ribbon using the same image as on the front of the card. I then added a little circle tag to tie in with the tree tops.

Here's a peek at the ribbon before it was tied.

Doesn't it look fabulous?  Well it does to me and I know my daughter will love it too.

I think she's gonna like it, how about you?

Supplies:
Ink: SU, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, basic gray, crumb cake
Inside sentiment from SU's Word Play
Outside sentiment from PTI's Think Big Fav's #7
Outside images and dies from PTI's Trendy Tree Tops

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this card,  please feel free to comment and thanks for checking out my blog.

Late Mother's Day card

The month of May is always a very busy one for our family with Mother's Day for my daughter and myself, my birthday, my daughter's (Canopy Crafts) birthday, Memorial Day, whew!
So I forgot to post the card I made for my daughter's Mother's Day, here it is...better late than never!

The card is pretty CAS.   I white embossed the image after it was stamped on CS, die cut a white felt flower topped with a button from my stash, added a strip of green under the sentiment stamp (computer generated as I didn't have a medium size MD stamp).  Added 3 rhinestones then adhered the panel to a whisper white card.

Supplies:
white embossing powder, image (Fresh Cuts) and card stock all from Stampin' Up
Notched flower from Papertrey Ink
Button and rhinestones from my stash, source forgotten by now!

I'd love to hear from you if you have time to leave a comment, thanks for looking and hope you have a great Memorial Day holiday!
