PAPERTREY INK CHALLENGE-9th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

While sipping my morning cup of tea and peeking at PTI's "Create with Us" challenge, so many new and exciting things this month.  Anyhow while looking at Ashley Cannon Newell's posting showcasing the new Doodle stamps, I notice on one of her cards she stamped an all-over background using the Doodle butterfly then added a smaller sheet of vellum on top of her stamping.  I thought it was a very nice way to either highlight the stamping or a beautiful designer paper without stamping directly on the paper, sometimes the paper is so pretty it's a shame to stamp on it.  I will however try Ashley's idea of the all-over stamping too.

As I didn't have too much time, I opted to use one of Dawn McVey's printed papers from "Vintage Linen" topped it with a smaller piece of stamped vellum, added a few rhinestones to cover the adhesive and it was done.  I love the ease of the A-2 size printed paper it makes it so easy to quickly create a card.

Love all the challenges and opportunities PTI is offering as they generously include their customers in the celebration of their 9th successful year in business.  Woo hoo!

Thanks for checking out my blog, would love to hear from you.

Nancy this is such a great idea. I love the BIG simple sentiment that lets the pretty paper show through. I also know what you meant about the paper size.. super simple is working for me now, more than ever! Hugs.
