NEW (to me) EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE!

Yay, couldn't wait to try this technique I found at Jennifer McGuire's blog, it opens up a ton of new embossing for ya!

Here's the card I made, check out the circle embossing behind the glitzy butterfly, how cool is that?

Jennifer's blog is very informative every day she has something new to share, here is a link to her blog: http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2016/08/impress.html, check out her video for the complete process.

I used my set of "nesting" circle dies, cut side down onto the cs however, you must use a beige/tan embossing mat under the cs (otherwise you'll cut your card and you don't want to do that, just get the impression of the nested dies).
This really opens up so many more embossing ideas using any set of "nesting" dies such as ovals, hearts, circles, rectangle whatever you have.

The butterfly (and also the branch) die were first cut from white cs then again from gold glitzy paper and adhered on top of the circle embossing, pretty quick, easy, and impressive (no pun intended), don't you think.
I added a sentiment in gold ink to match the glitzy paper.

Here's a side view showing the embossing.

That's it for now.

Nancy,

I know you told me about this technique but it is SO MUCH MORE special when I actually SEE it. I love how the circles give movement to the butterfly. I will definitely be trying some of my dies for this background effect. Love that.

The extra touches of gold on your card look super special against the white space, and I Love how you stacked the leaf die cut. It really give strength to a "gold" foil paper cut leaf with the support of the white underneath. Hugs.

Oh wow this is gorgeous! What an awesome technique and the nested circles are the perfect choice for the butterfly. The gold and white is such an elegant color combination too. Can't wait to try this technique! Beautiful!
