I've made this birthday card before, but it's still one of my favorites for "special" birthdays. Quite some time ago Debby Hughes at lime doodle posted a card she created using this design I liked it so much I tucked it away for future use, thanks Debby.
I used a embossing folder with all types of "happy birthday" on it. Die cut a frame and dry embossed that as well (and wonder of wonder, without planning can you see how the die cut matches up with the white card stock-couldn't have done that if I wanted to).
Die cut some snazzy "80" numbers from silver glimmer paper added a sentiment on another die cut piece, the banner, stamped it and called it done.
Here's a little peak at the inside of the card...the sentiment was stamped at the top and bottom of a piece of vellum (mostly to hide the adhesive). I like the way the front focal point ties into the inside sentiment, don't you?
List of supplies:
Papertrey Ink: White card stock Number dies & layerz die Inside sentiment and border Stampin' Up: Mellon Mambo card stock
Cuttlebug: (I think) Happy Birthday embossing folder
Misc. rhinestone
Hope you'll take a moment to comment on the card, thanks,
Nancy

Nancy this is PERFECT and I'm sure I know where it's going! I can't believe your embossing lined up perfect on the die cut... I just thought it was your OCD! jusssst kidding. LOVE the inside too, but I do LOVE polka dots! Hugs
