Congratulations to Papertrey Ink on their 5th Anniversary of business. Here is a snip taken from their blog regarding the anniversary challenge.
I admire all of the design team members at Papertrek Ink, so it's very hard to pick just one as a favorite. I guess I'd pick Dawn McVey as she listed her Five Papertrey Ink Favorites as Mat Stack 4 Die, Rosie Posie Stamp Set, Chocolate baker's twine, Raspberry Fizz buttons and Rustic Cream card stock. I find myself time after time reaching for some of these same items, particularly the Mat Stack dies, and one of the newer stamp sets, Rosie Posie, which I adore!
The card I'm entering in the "Day One" challenge uses the Mat Stack #4 die and the Rosie Posie stamp set. I die cut the shape from the front of the card, ran it through an embossing folder, die cut one of the flowers from the stamp set twice, stamped both, then cut out just the center of the flower on one of the pieces. Die cut and stamped three leaves from the same set, added some glitter to the center flower and adhered all pieces to the lower portion of the front of the card. Stamped the sentiment on a raised strip on the front of the card.
The inside was finished with a piece of designer paper and stamped with one of my favorite sentiments.
I love the way the inside sentiment peeks through the die cut opening and there's still room to sign the card on the inside.
Here's a closer look at the "razzle dazzle on the center of the flower.
Supplies Used: Papertrey Ink's Mat Stack #4 die, Rosie Posie die and stamp set, white card stock. Inside sentiment from Daydreamer stamp set. Stampin' Up's "Bright" designer paper, Melon Mambo & Old Olive inks and sentiment.
I'm sorry the card base looks pink! I'm taking this photograph in the evening (while watching Super Bowl) and cannot seem to get the white card stock to look white, it keeps tinting pink, which it isn't! Perhaps it's my camera, I'll try again in the daylight tomorrow, in the meantime this will have to do in order to meet PTI's challenge deadline.
Okay, next day (too late for challenge) but I think the colors look better, what do you think?
Thanks for taking a look and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this card.
Cheers,
Nancy

Nancy, your card turned out so pretty and I love your razzle-dazzle flower!!
Beautiful card, Nancy! I love your take on Dawn's favorites-she was my choice too!
Lovely Nancy! I love the negative die cut and that sentiment. Pretty flower with the glimmer on it!
Nancy I think you did a SUPER BOWL special for this one. LOVE your die cut front with the embossed stripes, and that blossom looks gorgeous in the color and sparkling details. Good Luck in the PTI challenge too. Hugs.
