Spring Fling...Easter Wishes

Isn't this a lovely inspiration photo from City Crafter's, the colors made me think of Easter, what do you think?






Well here's my cutsey-pa-toot-sy card.

I used pool party color for the card and stamped it with a gorgeous scrolly background stamp in white ink for the top half of the card. I cut a small rectangle of white cs, trimmed the edges with a "wavy" cutter, stamped some grass in the corner and "laid" a few easter eggs (using the challenge colors) in the grass. I colored the bunny's ears in pink to go along with the challenge colors.

















The Easter Bunny was stamped twice, once on the rectangle and fussy cut his cute little bottom so it kinda hung over the edge, I thought the pom-pom would show up better against a color instead of the white. I then cut out the second stamped bunny (minus the ears and whiskers...didn't think I'd ever be able to cut those out) added an itsy-bitsy pom-pom for his cottontail and popped him (or her) up on dimensionals. Stamped the sentiment in the corner and that's my Easter card all done.

Papertrey Blog Post

Here is the inspiration photo for PTI's Blog Hop challenge, isn't it cheerful and Spring like.


















This is my card using the challenge colors of aqua and yellow.

I scored my card at the bottom and along one side, added adhesive and sprinkled white glitter (a previous Make-It-Monday project).
Die cut two flower blossoms raised the center with dimensions and added the sentiment at the bottom. I was quite pleased the sentiment lined up perfectly with the score lines. Die cut two leaves and attached all to a white cs square.

Just a card

Thought I'd share this clean & simple card with you. Just two stamps, two die cuts (one for the flower and one for the leaf).

SWOON....

What can I say I absolutely love, love, this stamp set...it has become my very favorite. The intricate lines in the ginko leaves get me every time I use it.
I think the detail is so lovely and you can create such a clean and simple card. Sorry for the shadow on the card it was an overcast day when I took the pix!



My color choices are...card base of River Rock, framed with a Night of Navy piece and inks of the same colors. I especially like the sentiment stamped over a smaller leaf stamp. I really could have "blinged" the card up with some rhinestones or pearls, but it was a masculine get well card I needed, so I pulled in the reins on the bling!

LATE NIGHT SCRAPPIN'

Here is a card I made with my daughter, Nance of Canopy Crafts on our late night scrappin', such a treat to scrap with her.

This card was made by her monthly card class and she had one kit already made up for me. So of course I was very happy to put it all together, easy as pie!
Isn't it pretty?







Here's a peek at the inside as well (my daughter's signature is to always "dress" the inside of the card as well).







This next card is for a man's birthday, so I kept it fairly simple, just white, black and a pop of red. I think the houndstooth stamp really sets the tone for a masculine card, what do you think?

Yummy birthday card!-FMS#25

Had to share this card with you, it's for a nephew's daughter who's turning FIVE years old!

I'm also entering this card for... Linda Callahan's sketch at.Freshly Made Sketches.


I rearranged the placement of the ribbon which worked better with the items I used.

I stamped the focal image on cs and fussy cut it, stamped it again to cut out the cupcake icing and "frost" it with Dazzling Diamonds. Embossed front panel adhered a strip of designer paper framed with Espresso and attached the cupcake with dimensionals. Cut a 1" circle to hold the "#5" dies.

Spring Birthdays!

Here's one of the cards I made while my daughter Nance of Canopy Crafts and family were visiting me. It was fun to be able to sneak in some scrappin' time with her again.

I love the background stamping using the same color to create visual interest in the card stock. It also ties in to the focal image (same stamp) being stamped once again. I then die cut two panels with fancy ends added a die cut frame and stamping and a yummy chocolate satin ribbon bow with a small yellow rhinestone.






A peek at the inside with the focal image stamp on the bottom and just a hint of a flower peaking at the top (love this stamp set) of the sentiment panel.

CAS Sympathy card

A quick post to share a very easy card with you. I needed a sympathy card and took the inspiration from My Creative Side, for this easy, but elegant look...thanks for inspiring!

Gorgeous...

Just wanted to share a photo from our backyard, this Bougainvillea bush started out as a little guy and has grown with gusto, isn't it pretty! It does have a sister bush across the yard and it's pretty, but not like this one. I guess this one is pretty happy. I'm happy just admiring it!
