I made this card for a friend who recently lost a very close friend and although I didn't want to send the normal "sympathy" card, but wanted her to know I cared. This is what I came up with.
The colors are very soft and serene quite pretty I think, however the weather here for picture taking isn't ideal, today is a gloomy, rainy, dismal day, there did that set the tone for your day (hope not)!
Here's a look at the inside of the card, as I said not a good day for picture taking. I chose to repeat the rectangular shape on the inside to continue the design element.
All supplies from Stampin' Up
except the sentiment on front of card which is from PTI
Thanks for stopping by today...hope you're having a wonderful day!

Sugar & Spice - Little Girls!
I'll be hosting a dinner party in a few weeks for some local and out-of-state family members and there will be 3 little girls visiting. I thought I'd make up a few hair clips for each of them.
Aren't they cute I think they're adorable. My own daughter tells me if I start wearing these in my hair, she's definitely going to take me under her wing! Guess I'll just have to see them on my granddaughter and my little visitors.
Here they are...I made so many I couldn't get them all together in one picture, so you'll have to scroll through.
My daughter, Nance Leedy of Canopy Crafts saw these cute little butterflies on Allison Ohran's blog Sweet Impressions and sent me the link, click here for her tutorial. Although mine aren't quite the same as Allison's she did all the hard work of figuring out the dimensions, Thank You Allison! They are made from 3 different ribbons as well as tiny little antennae (can you see them?) on the front of the hair clip. These two will be mailed to my granddaughter, just waiting for her to return from a fabulous vacation.
Here's a different view, making it easier to see the antennae
Here are a few more hair clips, I made from felt and flower dies of course I had to add some glitz!
And one more set, I know they look the same, but they have different leaves attached. I think the "Handmade" button card is the perfect holder for these cuties.
What do you think? I'd love to hear from you.

Friday Mashup Challenge #66-Ring around the Rosie
Another challenge from Friday Mashup, this one relating to the Olympics!
I've had the idea of intersecting rings in my head for a while and kept meaning to try it out, but you know how that goes. When I saw this challenge I thought it was the perfect time to try out the idea that had been bouncing around in my head so here it is...
I'd love to hear what you think about my "Olympic" card, thanks for looking.
