Thought I'd give this challenge from Color Q a try. When I saw the colors it brought to mind SU's Paisley Petals paper...all of the colors are there already, how easy is that! I thought since the paper is so beautiful you don't have to add hardly anything at all, but of course I couldn't help myself I had to add a couple of items.
I trimmed the bottom of the DSP, cut out the largest flower, added some of the colors with the photo tag punch, stamped a sentiment in Basic gray on whisper white cs and I was done. How come it took me so long? I guess I just can't help fussin' over things!
Anyhow here's my card, hope you like it.
Supplies used:
DSP: Paisley Petals (which includes all the challenge colors)
Card stock: Bravo Burgundy, whisper white, river rock
Ink: Basic Gray
Punch: Photo Corners
Sentiment: Three Little Words

I did not realize these papers contained all the CQC colors! (I didn't get the paper, I guess that's why!) But I love letting the DP do most of the work! Very nice take on both the CQC AND the PP challenges!
Aren't you clever to notice all those colors in the DSP??!! I look at those challenge colors and ran but you made them sing by featuring this beautiful piece of paper! Love the trim at the bottom and the photo corners. Did you use a gold pen to trim out the flowers--they just pop of the page! Great job!
Nancy how pretty is that! and in flash you were finished! Looks like a card class CASE!
I love your bottom edge and cutting out the flower out to pop it up is just the "centerfold" of an already gorgeous paper.
LOVE the photo corners touch and the finished card is perfect for almost any occassion and will work for femanine or masculine alike. Great card! Hugs.
Your flowers are gorgeous and how clever to find the cardstock - I take my hat off to you on smart idea! I just became a follower and would love if you follow me too.

Don't you just love it when you can make a DP your jumping off point? I love that too, I'm such a patterned paper junkie;) This is just lovely, I really like how you made that big flower pop. Thanks for playing with us at CQC this week! :)
Well done!
Such a pretty card, Nancy. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ this week.
Great use of the patterned paper for this challenge, Nancy! Those bold flowers are downright tropical! Thanks for playing at the ColourQ this week!
