4th of July Birthday Card - Colour Q Challenge #90

A friend of ours has a birthday on the 4th of July and last week I made this card with her in mind. Then I saw the Colour Q Challenge using the same colors.

My inspiration for this card came from Margaret Moody over at Pals Paper Arts although I used a calendar similar to hers the rest of the design has been changed.

The blue card stock was embossed using an all-over "star" embossing folder, then matted on red. The calendar I made on the computer added a Poppy Parade red star on the birth date and a happy little sentiment from a Hostess Picture This stamp set, colored the little birdie in Tempting Turquoise and the words in Poppy Parade.

The inside has a large star matted on a larger red star. Birthday sentiment from Sincere Salutations,

Nancy what a great festive July 4th card. Love your calendar star and the star embossed BG. How clever! The ribbon is PERFECT! I really like how you did the inside too, just carried the theme throughout. Great card.
Hugs.
